Help Us Fill the Clothing Closet

POC offers a shopping experience for individuals and families in need of coats, boots, gloves, hats, children's, and adult clothing. We connect families to other community resources and financial assistance programs. Walk-ins welcome. Upon arrival, all clients will be greeted by a POC employee for an intake assessment.  Please call the Community Resource Center front desk at (847) 776-9500 for the monthly clothing closet hours.

The Community Resource Center is open Monday – Thursday 8 am – 8 pm, Friday 8 am – 4 pm and Saturdays 8 am – 12 pm. Please call the Front Desk at 847-776-9500 to confirm Clothing Closet Hours.

Donation Parameters:

  • New and “Like New” clothes, shoes, winter coats, snow pants, and snow boots accepted.
  • All garments should be Thoroughly Cleaned in like new condition 
    (i.e., no stains, broken zippers, missing buttons or snaps, personal names, clothes with a dated event, or company logos)
  • Donation receipts are available.
  • For Everyone’s Safety:
    • Donations must be placed in a plastic bag. No loose items accepted.
    • We DO NOT ACCEPT car seats, cribs, mattresses, baby equipment, books, or household items.
