Leadership Transition

  • Seth Moland-Kovash began as Executive Director in November 2024, following the retirement of founding director Kathy Millin.

  • Emphasis on continuing to meet rising community needs through compassion, collaboration, and innovation.


By the Numbers

  • 105,000+ client interactions at the Community Resource Center.

  • 73,235 individuals supported through Faith Feeds Food Pantry.

  • 700 legal screenings completed by POC's new Legal Clinic.

  • 7,206 people reached through Know Your Rights and housing presentations.

  • 389 lives impacted by the Parent Mentor Program in CCSD15 schools.

  • 9,637 individuals received clothing.

  • 5,418 youth and family experiences provided through ICompete.

  • 2,100+ households served by the IL Welcoming Center (44 sites trained).

  • 16,316 instances of Adult Education & Employment Assistance.

  • 95% of teens in bi-weekly groups reported stronger family and community connections.


Major Highlights

  • New Legal Services Launched:

    • Hired first immigration attorney.

    • DOJ recognition and accreditation for staff and sites.

    • Became a regional point of contact for immigration legal services.

    • Opened a Legal Clinic to expand access to justice.

  • Emergency Response:

    • Supported 17 families displaced by two apartment fires with $39,544 in donations raised, and over $22,000 distributed by May 2025.

    • Ongoing support through case management, housing, food, clothing, and mental health services.

  • Community Story:

    • Featured is Natalia, a Ukrainian immigrant and ESL participant, who actively volunteers and integrates into local life.

New Partnerships & Expansion

  • Added a Full-Service Community School with CCSD15.

  • Built 3 new raised beds at Roots Community Garden to support food security.

  • Continued collaboration with Harper College, Faith Feeds, Palatine Park District, and Endeavor Health.
